Breath of Life Holds Ribbon Cutting to Celebrate Chamber Membership

A ribbon cutting with the Greater Florence Chamber of Commerce was held Thursday, October 15th at Breath of Life Academy LLC, located at 1356 James Jones Ave, Suite 5, in Florence. Chamber ambassadors joined owner Vanity Timmons and family for the celebration. Breath of Life Academy is a training academy for American Heart Association courses.

iBrow Deluxe Medical Spa Holds Ribbon Cutting Ceremony

A ribbon cutting was held Wednesday, October 7th  at iBrow Deluxe Medical Spa with the Greater Florence Chamber of Commerce. Chamber ambassadors joined staff and family to celebrate their grand opening and joining the chamber.

The medical spa has been open for about a month and a half and is at 2204 Second Loop Road, Suite F, in Florence.

The owner is Shayla Stewart.

Ribbon Cutting To Celebrate Varla Jean’s Joining Chamber

A ribbon cutting was held Tuesday, October 6th at the Greater Florence Chamber of Commerce, celebrating Varla Jean’s membership in the chamber and its grand opening.

Varla Jean’s is Florence’s newest dog-grooming service. Co-owners Joe McCall and Brett Bunch were joined by Bunch’s dog, Sarabi, and chamber ambassadors for the celebration.

Varla Jean’s opened in March at 2405 Lakeview Drive in Florence. The dog-grooming service is named after McCall’s dog, Bunch said.

Ms. P Beauty Spa Opens With a Ribbon Cutting

Ms. P Beauty Spa celebrated its Grand Opening and Membership in the Greater Florence Chamber of Commerce on Wednesday, September 30th with a ribbon cutting. Joining owner Tyeshia Pigatt on opening day were friends, family and Chamber ambassadors.

D’s Mini Doughnuts Food Truck holds ribbon cutting

A ribbon-cutting ceremony was held on Monday, October 28th celebrating the opening of the D’s Mini Doughnuts food truck and its membership in the Greater Florence Chamber of Commerce.

Owner Dalton Moran cut the ribbon. He was joined by his father, Darryl Moran, friends and chamber ambassadors.

Flo-Town Fitness Celebrates Opening with Ribbon Cutting

Flo-Town Fitness was joined by the Greater Florence Chamber of Commerce on Thursday for a ribbon cutting celebrating its opening on Aug. 22 and its membership with the chamber. Chamber ambassadors joined Flo-Town owners and staff for the celebration. Flo-Town Fitness is located at 612 S. Irby St. in Florence. Owners Brock McCallister and Bobby Bethea and most of their staff were previously trainers at the Fitness Forum on Dargan Street, which closed in July.

Florence Motor Speedway Kicked Off Race Weekend with a Ribbon Cutting Ceremony

The New Florence Motor Speedway held a ribbon cutting Thursday, September 3rd on the racetrack with the Greater Florence Chamber of Commerce.  Chamber staff and ambassadors participated. Cutting the ribbon were owners Steve Zacharias, Brian Vause, and Savannah Brotherton, Owner/Operator, and Mike Neff, Sales/Marketing Officer.  The ribbon cutting kicked off the new owner’s first race weekend at the track.

Florence to Construct $15 Million Sports Complex Near Tennis Center

Florence is attempting to hit another redevelopment home run.  The city is expected to announce at a Monday afternoon news conference that it will develop a $15 million sports complex beside the Dr. Eddie Floyd Tennis Center at the location of the former Clemson extension office. A lease agreement with an unnamed summer wooden bat league team for the stadium is expected to be announced at the news conference.

City Manager, Randy Osterman Addresses Florence Business Leaders at Chamber’s Legislative Breakfast

Florence City Manager Randall Osterman detailed the location of the new station during a presentation at the Greater Florence Chamber of Commerce Legislative Breakfast on Friday, September 18th at the Florence Center. Osterman said growth in the western and northwestern portions of the city create the need for the city to build a new fire station and to relocate the Ben Dozier fire station.

2020 Pee Dee Grassroots Meeting

The Greater Florence Chamber of Commerce and the Hartsville Chamber joined to present the South Carolina Chamber of Commerce Annual Grassroots Tour on Wednesday. This year’s meeting was held virtually through Zoom, because of the uncertainty surrounding COVID-19.
Each fall, the South Carolina Chamber of Commerce partners with regional and local chambers across the state on the chamber’s annual Grassroots Tour. The tour allows the state chamber to hear from businesses from around the state on issues they are facing. The feedback received from the meetings from around the state will help shape the state chamber’s 2021 Competitiveness Agenda and set the chamber’s priorities for the 2021 legislative agenda.
Usually, the Florence and Hartsville chambers host their meeting at a large luncheon venue with about 150 area business leaders attending, said Mike Miller, president of the Greater Florence Chamber of Commerce.
