Bella Vista Creations Celebrates Membership With Ribbon Cutting

Owner Belinda Gleaton along with her husband Travis and aunt, along with Chamber Ambassadors is welcomed to the Greater Florence Chamber of Commerce with her ceremonial ribbon cutting.

Bella Vista Decor has been in business for more than 8 years but has recently moved to the Florence area. They are certified through IWED as a certified experienced event planner and decorator. They have worked with several professionals/celebrities throughout the years, while traveling from state to state to design their clients’ special events.

Belinda relocated her business to Florence because of a great opportunity with my husband new job as Vice President of Student Services at Florence Darlington Technical College.

Airfares Remain Low Across The Country

The Consumer Price Index (CPI) has included airline fares as a component of the public transportation index since December 1963. Last month’s CPI report showed airline fares are about 13% lower than they were a year ago.

Year-to-date, inflation-adjusted airfares have fallen more relative to pre-pandemic levels than any of the 26 major categories of consumer spending reported by the BLS —even though the cost of airlines’ primary inputs (i.e., fuel, labor) have risen sharply.

2nd Annual Blue Jeans And Blazers Fundraising Event Happening December 15th

Join The Beta Theta Sigma Alumni Chapter of Phi Beta Sigma Fraternity, Inc for their 2nd Annual fundraising event, Blue Jeans and Blazers, on Friday, December 15, 2022 in Florence, South Carolina. The event will be held at Staybridge Suites, located at 150 Westpark Drive Florence, SC, 29501

The evening will include food, music, dancing, and door prizes.

Attendees are asked to come dressed to impress in blazers and blue jeans and bring an unwrapped toy for a toy giveaway to benefit underserved youth at Christmas.

Tickets are $45 for individuals, $75 for pairs/couples and $325 for table of eight.

Proceeds will go toward annual college scholarships and community service projects in Florence and the surrounding areas.

Neil Jackson is SPC’s new Residential & Commercial Lending Manager based in the Hartsville office. Neil brings more than 16 years of experience in the mortgage and lending industry to the team and is eager to contribute to SPC’s growth in Hartsville.

Carmen Jackson joins the team as a Residential Lending Manager in the Hartsville office. Carmen is a Hartsville native who has spent more than twenty years of her career helping to fulfill the financial needs of individuals in our community.

USC To Host Economic Outlook Conference

The Darla Moore School of Business at the University of South Carolina is set to host their 43rd Annual Economic Outlook Conference on Tuesday, December 5th, 2023.
