CAPES 2026 Event Committee Members Needed

CARE House of the Pee Dee is now forming the CAPES for Kids 2026 Event Committee, and we are looking for passionate, community-minded individuals to join us!

The CAPES for Kids Event Committee is a group of dedicated volunteers who help plan and implement our annual fundraising event on May 2nd, 2026, which includes a 10K, 5K, & Fun Run.  This committee plays a vital role in shaping the vision, creativity, and success of the event while supporting CARE House’s mission of help, hope, and healing for children and families.

Committee Term: January 2026 – May 2026

Possible Areas of Service Include:

  • Kid’s Activities (Fun Run, Kid’s Zone, support)
  • Race & Course Logistics
  • Communication & Marketing
  • Sponsorship Development
  • Event & Program Logistics

You do not need to be a runner to serve—though having a few runners on the committee is helpful. Ideal committee members care deeply about the safety and wellbeing of children, bring creative energy to the table, and reflect the diversity of our community.
