Leadership Florence Participates In Nonprofit and Social Issues Day

The Greater Florence Chamber’s Leadership Florence class held its annual Nonprofit and Social Issues Day last week, offering participants a firsthand look at the vital role nonprofit organizations play in strengthening the community.

The 42-member class visited, toured and heard directly from leaders of several nonprofit agencies and social service providers across the Florence area. Presentations included Lighthouse Ministries, the YMCA, American Red Cross, My Brother’s Keeper and CARE House.

Special thanks to House of Hope Pee Dee and Senior Citizens Association.

Throughout the day, class members gained insight into how these organizations address critical needs, collaborate with community partners and work daily to improve quality of life for Florence residents.
