SC Small Business Tax Relief Advances SC Subcommittee
Last Thursday, a House Ways and Means subcommittee advanced the “State of South Carolina Small Business Tax Cut of 2026” (H.5006). The bill exempts the first $10,000 of a small business’s personal property (BPP) from county taxation, eases compliance burdens, and eliminates the tax altogether for small businesses with less than $10,000 in BPP. The bill now heads to the full House Ways and Means Committee.
