Dr. O’Malley Receives the Governor’s Award in the Arts

The South Carolina Governor’s Awards for the Arts are the state’s highest honors recognizing exceptional achievement and support of the arts. Administered by the South Carolina Arts Commission, these prestigious awards honor organizations, patrons, artists, and educators who enrich the state’s cultural landscape.

Last Week Florence 1 Schools Superintendent Dr. Richard O’Malley received the Governor’s Award in the arts education category. Kimberly Washburn-Motte, Deputy Director of the SCAC presented the award.
