The Animal Doctor Opens on South Cashua Drive in Florence

The Animal Doctor on South Cashua Drive in Florence held a ribbon-cutting ceremony on Tuesday, March 9th hosted by the Greater Florence Chamber of Commerce to celebrate its opening and membership in the Chamber. Chamber ambassadors joined the staff of The Animal Doctor for the ceremony. The Animal Doctor opened Feb. 1 at 191 S. Cashua Dr. in Florence.

The Blood Connection Hosts Ribbon Cutting

The Blood Connection (TBC), a Greenville-based community blood center, officially opened a donation center in Florence on Tuesday, March 3rd with a ribbon-cutting ceremony.  The ribbon cutting was hosted with the Greater Florence Chamber of Commerce. Its ambassadors joined the staff of The Blood Connection and others in the community for the celebration.  The newly renovated donation center includes a spacious waiting area, screening rooms, a four-bed donor room and refreshment area, all equipped with brand new equipment and furniture.

We Are Sharing Hope SC Joins Florence Chamber

We Are Sharing Hope SC, South Carolina’s Organ and Tissue Services, celebrated joining the Greater Florence Chamber of Commerce on Thursday, March 4th with a ribbon cutting in the courtyard at the Chamber in downtown Florence. Six members of the organization were joined by Chamber ambassadors for the ribbon cutting.  The nonprofit organization was founded in 1984 with the hope of advancing organ, eye and tissue donation transplantation and research in South Carolina. We Are Sharing Hope SC, has offices in three locations in South Carolina — Charleston, Columbia and Greenville.

IntelAssist Holds Ribbon Cutting With The Chamber

A ribbon-cutting ceremony was held Tuesday, February 16th at the Greater Florence Chamber of Commerce to celebrate the new membership of IntelAssist Inc.  Cutting the ribbon was Chris Stokes, the Director of Product Management. Taking part in the celebration was his wife, Ashley Stokes, Chamber ambassadors and Chamber staff.  IntelAssist was founded in 2007. IntelAssist is an offshore staffing business that hires people from the Philippines to fill positions such as nurses and other health care positions, engineers, construction industry and other jobs with highly trained individuals, Stokes said. He said they staff U.S.-based companies with educated and experienced professional employees in the Philippines.

HopeHealth At Francis Marion University Celebrates 10th Anniversary

HopeHealth at Francis Marion University celebrated the 10th anniversary of the partnership between HopeHealth and FMU as well as expansion of clinical and office space with a ribbon cutting Thursday, February 25th at 121 S. Evander Drive in Florence.  The partnership began with Dr. Paul DeMarco as the lone physician. Now he is joined by two HopeHealth nurse practitioners, Meagan Bennett and Regina Stanley, and FMU student health nurse practitioner Sharon Walters.

Styletype Clothing Joins Chamber and Celebrates with A Ribbon Cutting

A ribbon-cutting ceremony was held Thursday, January 14th in the courtyard at the Greater Florence Chamber of Commerce celebrating Styletype Clothing’s membership in the Chamber.  Owner Brianna Charles cut the ribbon while Chamber ambassadors, family and friends joined the celebration.  Styletype Clothing is a home-based, online women’s clothing company.  Charles said she provides casual, urban and luxury clothing for women.

Price Professional Services Hosts Ribbon Cutting

Price Professional Services held a ribbon-cutting ceremony on Tuesday, January 19th celebrating its membership in the Greater Florence Chamber of Commerce. The business is located at 2600 W. Palmetto St. in Florence. Owner Shakeita Price cut the ribbon. Joining in the celebration and showing their support were chamber ambassadors, family and friends.

Brockington Property Management Group Hosts Ribbon Cutting

Brockington Property Management Group held a ribbon-cutting ceremony Wednesday, January 13th as a new business in the area and a new member of the Greater Florence Chamber of Commerce. Chamber ambassadors joined Kimberly Brockington Franks, Owner, as she cut the ribbon. Brockington Property Management Group is located at 80 Dogwood Lane in Quinby. A full-service property management group, Brockington Property Management Group opened approximately five months ago. As a full-service property management group, the group handles apartment communities, single-family homes, multiple family homes and duplexes.

Icon Cuts University Holds Ribbon Cutting

A ribbon-cutting ceremony was held Monday, January 4th at Icon Cuts University (ICU) with the Greater Florence Chamber of Commerce to celebrate its opening and membership in the chamber.  Celebrating with the owner and instructors were chamber ambassadors.  The school is located at 2204-C Second Loop Road in Florence.  Juston Foxe, President, Instructor and Founder of ICU, has been a barber for approximately seven years. He also opened Icon Cuts barbershop in June 2017.

Lifetime Hearing Celebrates 20th Anniversary with Check Presentation and A Ribbon Cutting

Lifetime Hearing of Florence celebrated its 20th anniversary year with a check presentation to six local charities and a ribbon cutting marking its membership in the Greater Florence Chamber of Commerce on Thursday, December 17th.  Beneficiaries of Lifetime Hearing of Florence’s generosity were Harvest Hope Food Bank, McArn Food Bank in Cheraw, Darlington County Humane Society, American Heart Association, Foster Care Clothing Closet, Youth Mentors of the Pee Dee and House of Hope, where Lifetime Hearing will donate a rocking chair to each of the houses in HOPE Village, its Tiny House project.
